Bra size. It seems like it should be a relatively trivial thing, but bra size is at the forefront of women’s looks and thoughts about themselves today. Remember back in the 1920’s when women wanted to have more flat-chested, boyish figures? Well, all that has changed. Women want bigger and bigger breasts (or perhaps it is just men who want them…) Women are getting what they want, too. Ten years ago, the average bra size was 34B. Today, the average bras size is 36C.
Bra sizes are going up in the US. Why? Is it simply because women willed it to happen? There are two likely factors at hand. One reason for increased bra size is plastic surgery. Of course, the majority of women in the US are not getting plastic surgery. There is one thing that the majority of women are getting, though – they are getting heavier, and heavier women are bound to have a larger breast size.
